Decibel Presents:
Headhunter (aka Addison Groove) [Bristol, UK]
(Tempa / Swamp 81 / Wheel & Deal)
Headhunter is a dubstep producer / DJ from Bristol, England, currently signed to Tempa. Starting off with twitchy minimal half-step rhythms on the label Ascension he set up with flat-mate Tech Itch (aka Technical Itch), his sound now occupies a niche section of the dubstep scene , sitting comfortably between the ultra-heavy bass styles of Skream, Benga and his Tempa stablemates, and the deeper Berlin influenced techno side of the dubstep coin, favoured by the likes of Scuba, 2562 & Martyn. His debut album ‘Nomad’ was released in September 2008 on Tempa.

Yes! This is going to be an epic one. After his set at Decibel in 2010, I think the word is out in Seattle that Headhunter is a badman performer.

No way are you serious. The one event out I could go to that wasn't 21+. James Blake, Mt. Kimbie, 2562, Bokk Bokk, Girl Unit, Kingdom, and now Addison Groove all 21+. Shit no wonder theres so much brostep around here. I really don't want to go to fucking Excision but thats the only thing around here since Decibel Festival thats dubstep related and not a kandy rave playing shitty ass filth haha.

Sorry my man, it really comes down to the finances of an all ages event. The extra security for an all ages crowd (WLCB laws, mind you, not by promoter's choice) really makes it difficult to budget all ages events. Excision's draw will be like 1500-2000, that's probably 5 to 6 times the draw of a quality headliner at Chop Suey. I really hate that this happens, but it's really an economic thing. I supported on an all ages bill at Showbox last year and it was awesome, I love that vibe and I wish there was some way to bring that vibe to the hill.
If it is any consolation:
