take the 2 seconds and try to make it work.

I've got a 4 or 5 second vocal sample I'm trying to fit creatively as a centre piece for a whole tune currently :-D

Time stretch, pitch shift, delay, reverse and reverb.
Try to find bits where the other instruments in the song can work in with what you've got.

If you do find some vox, tho, I was just thinking about requesting.

Also make a request on the Grid at dogsonacid.com. They're great there. Someone will come up with something for you.

I once asked for a sample of the word epic and I got about 4 or 5 different responses - some samples, and some suggestions as to where I could sample from,

Every movie these days has that same chanting stuff, sample them all.... (buy the soundtracks?) - i'm into the chanting shit i hear on asian radio (sample that?) but the standard hollywood version is starting to drain me a little, same with the 'war drums' stuff in action scenes - love that shit but some hollywood music maker guy, or even honk kong guy, badly needs to get freeky with it.

Yeh if you know that there is a movie that is based at all anywhere arabicish (cool word..) there will be chanting in it, sets the scene n fools you into thinking your in Egypt when really its...hollywood.

But yeh like jahtao said above, radio is a good idea and blats the soundtrack. i might beat you to it...hehe.
