Re: Mannequin (DEMO) - 2-steppy 135bpm
intro- cant go wrong with a little pluck arp can ya
the crackle FX are a nice touch but i would bring them down a bit. its a nice TOUCH but it doesnt need to be so over bearing.
Build up - I wish your drums were a bit louder. the levels on the pad with the arp sound pretty good.
"Drop"- i was expecting more umph here. i think a lot of the problem is that your kick drum is virtually no existent. especially sense you dont have heavy bass i think it would do you good to layer some kicks and boost em up a bit.
Overall - Compostion wise this a fantastic track its just lacking certain factors that would make it a banger. Dont be afraid to go epic with the drums! Keep up the good work

Thanks for the feedback DoctorPlease. Think my mastering game could do with some work, I had a limiter and multiband compression in the effects chain on the master track which has bought up that crackle in the intro a bit to much.
Cheers for comments mate, good to get fresh set of ears on it. Glad you liked the composition

Its a simple fix. also i dont know if you did this but you should always put your limiter on before you start if you are going to use one (which you should) and save the master track compression/eq for last! youd be suprised how taking steps in the proper order can make a huge difference in your mix!

The elements go great together, I agree with the Doc, a little bit of mixing, and maybe a deeper kick would make it a perfect track!
