trolley snatcha

Post by farmaz » Tue Mar 01, 2011 9:50 am

as i said before i aint a huge knowledge on dubstep, I only found bar 9 piano tune a few days ago lol.

i was at a mates house last night & his going on about "filthstep" & "pornstep" i was all

I was wrong, very wrong every tune he played had me doing a "screwface" when it dropped, mainly the tunes were this trolley snatcha.

anyone have a list of the best tunes he has done or any mixes please?......

thanks for that link.

aint mary anne hobbs been taken off the bbc though?.......i used to listen years ago when it was the breezeblock, then it got changed to radio 1 expermintal & she began to have some kinda obsession with playing flying lotus & joker tunes & i never tuned back in to her show.

got anymore trolley snatcha lurking on your pc?.....

also anyone else you care to let me know of who does this dirty bass style?......

I dont like this rusko tbh, i think bar 9 & trolley snatcha are in a laegue above his tunes but thats I.M.O.

i know those 3 but the rest i never heard of, i will check them out thanks for that btw ;-)

you honest to god think this sound gets boaring though?........tbh i got a few old cyrus sets & its all half step low end bass & as nice as that is i also like some wonky bass, its all good to have a jon e cash (black ops) bassline but some of those trolley snatcha basslines are something else IMO

it got boring like a year ago haha..

nah people like distance and coki are still making harsh exciting basslines with rhythm and actual sub bass whereas most of the new brosteppy youtube-esque kids are into people like chronos records who just make noise

I think some older Dr Philth tunes used a Trolley Snatcha kinda bass sound, try 'Mrs Blackbird' and 'Chicken Jib'
Though I don't really rate the tracks myself
