Is it supposed to be funny or are they serious? You have to admit that this sound has become a paradoy of itself

You can't deny that this is an amazing song. (along with almost everything they put out) If you do you're just ignorant.

I heard Rude Boy, and liked it alright...
But then I heard the rest of their tunes

Re: Zeds Dead
yeah, it becomes apparent when the best part of your music comes from other people

Haven't been on this forum for too long. But it feels like some of you guys just hate on certain dubstep songs because a lot of people like it. Is this some sort of indie mainstream hating forum or am I mistaken?

seems to be the way of it with many folks around here. but i'm sure some of them will jump in and explain that it's not that they hate because it's popular but rather because it's less original/inspired/creative/innovative/musical/etc... personally I find that sort of judgment tiresome, because ultimately it's just a justification for one's own opinion, which in the end is purely subjective.
Also, I dig some Zeds Dead, especially the Blue Foundation remix.
Re: Zeds Dead
Saying a lot of people hate something because a lot of people like it is not only a contradiction, it's also a cop out
I'm usually not very vocal about the stuff that I hate, and anyone who has been on the forum long enough should know that, but everyone has their limits. For me it's stuff like this. It's my own fault really, maybe I'm still fooling myself that the original ideas of dubstep still exist in the sound, the ideas of bass and a sound that is unique to you, the idea that we will not become formulaic... I guess I just have a hard time letting go. We knew it would happen eventually, as it did with dnb, and I think that's why a lot of people on this forum are bitter about it. Especially when you have people saying that becoming stagnant and formulaic is "progression" or "evolution" when in fact it's quite the opposite. I'll bow out, Soz for the negativity. I'm just an old man who's nostalgic for wild rythms paired with equally astonishing bass lines. It still exists, it's just mostly in the house? forum these days...
One love, still

or they just don't like it? people like james blake and jamie xx are getting massive mainstream attention and noone is "hating" on them because of itComfiStile wrote:Haven't been on this forum for too long. perhaps people shouldn't be wasting time bitching about music they don't like but all these stupid "hater" arguments about people not liking something purely because it's popular are plain retarded
