While his main output is dubstep, he also produces grime and garage as well as house and funky. His style varies from deep to heavy, from meditative to dancefloor, with a signature feel and genuinity that runs through all of his music. Pulsar is also an accomplished remixer, having done remixes for a wide range of artists from breakbeat duo Ben and Lex, to Melbourne's indie electro pop band Polygon Palace. While his main focus is on his solo productions, he also finds time to collaborate with other producers including DJ First Aid (Rags/Gettin' Better) and rising dnb star Fred V (Hospital/Mainframe), with a Pulsar/First Aid collaboration called 'Bombaclat' forthcoming 12" on DJ Die's label Gutterfunk.
Pulsar's music has gained support from some of the biggest names in the game, including Headhunter, El-B, Jakes, Mensah and DJ Craze amongst many others, with tracks played on GetDarker TV, airplay on Rinse FM and radio shows across the globe. The international attention hasn't stopped at radio airplay, with Pulsar recently signing to New York City's original dubstep label Code Of Arms.
Pulsar's DJ sets are known for being varied and technical, with occasional three-deck mixing plus plenty of his own productions and dubs. He is a proud resident at Exeter-based dubstep night the Deep End; the Southwest Peninsular's original and pioneering dubstep night.
