aight, im new here, im not a complete n00b to dubstep, been following the scene for about 2 years now, but first time ive ever signed up to a dubstep forum (if there is any others out there?) - i was just wondering wgho everybody's favourite dubstep producers are to get a feel of what kind of stuff everyone is into here
i'd personally say D1 - his bass is sick, his melodies are dark and his use of vocal samples make his riddims sound even more twisted. But he also has a really beautiful side - tracks like Identify and mind and soul are sweet, though i do prefer his darker tunes. I'd say 'Crack Bong' is probbaly my all time favourite dubstep track
anyone else care to share their thoughts

?

To qualify as a favourite in my book you must be steadily writing & having productions released with some frequency that move me consistently. Currently, that's Elemental, Gravious, L-Wiz, Reso & Toasty, along with Norwegian newcomers Dubwoofa.
I was feeling Distance for a long while but haven't since he moved to Planet Mu. I also rate Forensix (MCR), Luke Envoy, Boxcutter & Pinch, but they need to release more material- looking forward to Hotflush 15ii, Pinch's LP & Boxcutter's next album coming this year.

Reso and Claw at this very second. Moldy. Ramadanman has some tunes out that are sounding proper.... all the smaller, soon to be mammoth names.

Sully is my number 1 producer.
Oyaas astounds me!
Also really feeling Shonky's latest output and same goes with metalbox....
Just listening to Bunzero's show and Djuna's tracks on there are too messy as well!

IMO, Skream is the king of dubstep. His productions are almost always on point, and his style in extremely diverse - although sides C and D on the new Skreamizm don't do anything for me.

I agree.
Mala personifies dubstep.
His beats are the sickest.

In the same kind of boat. Ganna go back and redo a load of old tunes that never really felt right. With a bit of time and distance from them i reckon they're gonna be sounding pretty mean.
