Hi all,
I am a guy looking into making music, preferably dubstep. I am currently using FL9 and need help from the start, and if anyone wants to help, many thanks to them.

Re: Tutor
Your not the first to ask. How about you look up tutorials on youtube, practice synthesis, and then ask questions?

Re: Tutor
aatish, the starting blocks are the main way to develop your own style, my advice is just click around see what you like see what works and make ur song ur own way, using a tutorial or someone elses influence usually makes you copy their style, just mess around with a few things and develop your own way of making music.
unless your from the VERY novice.
firstly open fl, click on the playlist and click main automation, should bring up 4 channels-called kick clap hat and snare, press the buttons next to where it sais those words to make the sound, just north of that is the BPM, change that to 140 if it's not already, when you have made a good drum line out of the channels click on the playlist and you will see your pattern on the playlist.
to change the sounds on the sequencer (with the kick hat snare and clap) you find a sample (like a kick drum) in the left hand colum, if you haven't downloaded any look in "packs" and click on an instrument there, click on the name of the sample you want and drag and drop it on the sequencer, either over the top of a sample that is already on the sequencer or just drop it inbetween 2 samples to create a 5th channel. very basic stuff there will be tut's on youtube, "how to set up youtube"
have a look around on the normal conventions of dubstep, I.E. it's normally at 140/70BPM
