What are your opinions/beliefs on giving away your tracks for free?

Theres no harm in it, its good exposure if you do it properly like via a net label or something.. I don't agree with people who make bootlegs just to get some hype about them though.

"ooh it's brand new, on mtv, and a shitty pop song... better make a generic dubstep remix of it"

Ive put 2 free EPs out, one on 20twelve and one on Rub The Ego - both labels are professionally ran just like any good commercial label (actually better then some Ive come across) and would recommend any new producer wanting to put music out via a label to go through this route as a free EP is easily to push than one what costs money!!

As long as you remember to give out tracks which are you sounding your finest. Don't just give out something you made in one hour. And i fully support the other guys, if you make a bootleg, make it good and original, or don't bother. At this point in time i give out almost all of my tracks for free to get maximum exposure(Shameless plug: Check the sig) and it's working beautifully. But also remember to keep some stuff exclusive.
