Jam City discovered Grime around 2003 which changed his perception of music. It sounded totally alien and experimental whilst still having a direct energy at club level. He then found out about Chicago Trax Records and pretty much wanted to live inside the Trax cover of a Chicago sunset. A couple of years after that he started making his own tracks and edits, the rest is Jam City.
