Not your average sine wave thread!
Having a convosation with some work members who are developing a graph based on another members lateness.
The shape that has started to form over the last 30 days, is that similar to a sine wave.
What we're trying to rack are heads around a process of conversion.
Is it possible to convert the graph (and it's details x/y ect) into sound?
If anyone can help, then please do!

My english teacher gave me a weird look when I mentioned that as the musical instrument I played. Like the wtf stare. I had to give her the 'wiki wiki' dj motion to confirm what i meant.

Graph it and then find a synth that uses custom wave shapes?

Re: Not your average sine wave thread!
so absynth 5 seems to be able to create custom waves.
does anyone use absynth 5?
because i have noticed that there is an option of save custom wave template, if so what is the file format for this custom wave?
i think im trying to look to deep into this, but it's a nice mysterie for oneself.

Aphex Twin turned a picture of his face into sound in one of his tunes (forget which). He used metasynth. I think it's only for mac though?

FL Studio has a synth that does this. BeepMapblazinaidan wrote:Aphex Twin turned a picture of his face into sound in one of his tunes (forget which). He used metasynth. I think it's only for mac though?
