First song ever

Post by An0n » Sun Apr 03, 2011 8:58 am

An obvious Rusko inspired song :)

My synths need a lot of work, and the levels are off, but this is the main bare skeleton. this is my first ever production, and a weeks worth of cramming ableton and massive tutorials lol. Enjoy

The "Idea" is good, the melody is not bad but maybe less cramming and more creative juices.
Worry about levels and what not after you've finished the track.
Just make them as close as you want them to be so people can get an idea of what you're going for.

Good job otherwise :)

Thanks for the feedback. Can you elaborate more on creative juices? it seems to be an area I'm lacking I guess? haha

Given that this is a WIP, should start on a structure.
Can be basic :
Intro, Build-up, Drop, Post-Drop, Depress, Build-Up, Drop and so on.

Or you could make your own.
Also some background fillers i.e. pads, glitches, tiny fx noises etc. to give the song body and an overall boost.

Just a few things :4:

( Modulate/Change the sound of your initial synth in and out during the track, can sound excellent if done well)
