The most ridiculous comments thread

Post by jrisreal » Fri Apr 08, 2011 1:11 am

Here, you post the most ridiculous, funny, stupid, ignorant, etc. comments that you've heard regarding music production.
Here are a few of mine:
A friend of my friend wrote:Electronic-based music takes no skill. Real music comes from shredding your soul out on a guitar
No doubt that takes talent, but come on! I'd seriously like to see your favorite guitarist krank out a simple drum beat on a computer within an hour
The same friend of my friend wrote:Autotuning is the same thing as remixing
Really? That's interesting! Now tell me who told you that lol
My friend Josh wrote:That's so stupid! There's no difference between the volume and the cutoff!
Oh ok

Can anyone on this forum help me make the skrillex bass?
This is stupid because if anyone here could, they'd be out raking in the dough, not answering silly questions :D

My friend last night said that Skrillex was shit...

WIFE MATERIAL.

But that's not the part relating to this thread, she told me her brother said something along the lines of "Isn't all electronic music a remix?"

If you felt that way about it, why would you bother finding out how to make it?

I've read and heard so much dumb shit since I started producing music.

I can't even begin to list it all.
A conglomeration of my old tearout tunes I like, and my new ones I don't

This and one friend who plays guitar once told me
You can't read or write music, but you just make it anyway? You're so lazy
Surely making music is about what you can contribute and not being able to read some squiggly lines on a peice of paper? :u:
And, would I be wrong in assuming that if you know all of that, making tunes would then be easier?
I was gonna say something else, but remembering this made me so angry I forgot :cornlol:

-w- it's equally amusing how lost real musicians are in those same applications and when it comes to connecting their guitar to an audio interface

Anyway, it's a bit strange to say "pissing around on a midi sequencer isnt making real music". What's real music?
