(Feedback) My first track

Post by booglez » Mon Apr 18, 2011 1:42 am

Here's my first track that I've decided to release. It's actually a collab of my friend and I. I would love to hear critiques and criticism because I want to get better at this stuff. Thanks a lot!

Awfully quiet it is, but it's still good because it's not just a Massive patch over and over. This is awesome, I'm following.

Are there any tips for EQ/Compression? (Maybe something quick rather than watching a bunch of tutorials) I was going to up the volume some but it was clipping an awful lot. Also, thanks for the compliments!

put a limiter on the master output, turn up the gain on the limiter a bit

track sounds nice, i like the beginning, the drums have a nice character to them, but you definitely need to work on your compression/limiting i can really hear the track getting sucked down in places

Thanks for the advice, I'll try that when I get the time today. I'll repost after I try it to see if it gets the desired effect.

a lot of sub bass, i think it would sound good with a mellow mid-range bass cutting through the track. very chill.
