EOTO (live dubstep, electro) (lol)

Post by inferno » Tue Apr 19, 2011 12:38 am

Not really seeing much of it here, so I thought I'd post this up. tickets for this band's shows are between $10 and $30, whereas sold out tickets can go up to $100+ on craigslist.

Well, I'm seeing them live with Bassnectar and Elliot Lipp this weekend, so I'll reserve judgment till then.

Eoto is a way fun live show..and its apples to oranges. Can't compare their sound to a dj.

people around me fucking love it.... i really dont get it tho because it sounds to me like adult contemporary with a single LFO'd fabfilter patch... but yeah, people like it for whatever reason.

I saw them live and I thought they were pretty tight. Dubstep? Eh not really but I like what they're doing. It's different from many things that I have seen. Of course the trolls here would hate on them. :i:

I know a lot of people who are into them, and maybe this was a one off 'jam session' where it didn't come together... but I watched a couple other videos of EOTO live and I just don't get it. Then again, I'm not into all that neo-hippie stuff.

hey i get it...everybody has different tastes in music. i listen to some pretty cheesy stuff (not like string cheese...no pun)

i think it's hilarious that a middle aged jamband can have a sustainable sideproject such as eoto and make as much as they do playing to fairly large crowds (by american edm standards, at least).

Seen 'em a few times...their fan base is pretty cringe-tastic, but I still had a good time...they're better than skrillex lol.... :P

Indeed. I'll be the one wearing the black shirt that says "UFO's are real, the government doesn't exist". If you see me, come say hi! (unless you'd rather not be seen with someone wearing such a ridiculous shirt) :Q:

I'm also going to the after-party at the afterparty at Valentine's with Higher Organix and Timbre Coup, not the other one.

The video is awful but when I saw them live I didn't think they were all that bad. I mean I'd rather see them than a lot of people that I have seen.
