Adele - Rolling in the Deep Electrostep Remix
Hey guys, coming back with my 3rd "official" production here. I intended to make this a pure dubstep track but the track started building itself and it just took me places..very electro-y places. So I just went with it. I know it still needs some fine-tuning in terms of mixing the levels, I've been messing with that plenty so I'll get that down soon enough. So opinions other than that? Brutal (constructive) honesty appreciated as always.

Hi!
This is some nice work, but I think the dubstep part is much better than the breakbeats parts, you should stay into dusbtep! then the vocal is very good, and I think this "Daft Punk Guitar" at the end should be much more soundable as it sounds great! A nice break at the middle, or an instrumental part where you leave the music expressed without vocal could be an idea (for instance like The Benga remix for Magnetic Man - Perfect Stranger: the vocal on the fist part, the break, and then only instrumental.)
Nice work, good luck then!

Re: Adele - Rolling in the Deep Electrostep Remix
Hey thanks a lot man! Appreciate the positive feedback! Yeah I'm still really sure what the identity of my track is, but you're saying the slower tempo beats aren't working or they are and I should get rid of the hi hat shuffles? Cause I don't really have any prototypical "breakbeats" in there lol so I just wanna clarify first. And I like that comparison...I didn't even think of Daft Punk when I was making it, but if it reminded you of them that must be a good thing haha. Yeah I'm trying to bring that part out, but when I do it tends to get really crowded right there at the end :/ everything starts climaxing at once and all the parts are fighting for headroom. I'll see what I can do to mix it in better.
And I also like that idea, I was thinking of doing that as it is (taking a chunk out of the chorus and cloning it and repeating it a couple more times than is in the real song and just having an instrumental bit), but I was having so much trouble getting the track in sync timing wise that I didn't want to mess with it. Now that it's all lined up though, I might try that out. Thanks again!

yea man this is cool, i like the little vocal edits. In my opinion the drums would be closer in the mix (mostly the snare) although this could be put down to personal taste! Good track.

By closer you mean more prominent/louder, right? If so yeah, I've been trying to accomplish that but it's a little tough because I made the beat underneath the vocal sample on a separate FL project and then imported that to a new project with just the instruments. I did this to save clutter with all the automations and crap, but it makes mixing the levels a little harder. I'll work on it though, and thanks!!

this is dope, inspires me to work a little more with the electro sounds. The dubstep sections are my favorite, but the electro parts have a nice mild/jump up sound to them. groovy dude.
i was actually thinking about remixing this track too a while back, its cool to see someone do something good with it.

Haha thanks dude!! I really appreciate that. Yeah when I first heard this song, I stopped what I was doing and had a huge epiphany...I was just thinking "this would make a perfect dubstep remix" and couldn't stop thinking about it till I did it haha. I tried to make it clubby too as you can hear..I want this to be something that can be played at a club and get everyone moving. If I get enough approval for this beta version I'll touch it up and start sending it around to some of my DJ friends to see if they'll spin it
