FWD Tonight. 4 hour roots set.

Post by plastician » Thu Apr 28, 2011 3:24 pm

Yo!

Just a heads up, I'm playing all night at fwd tonight.

I'm starting with 2 step and moving thru the years over the course of the night finishing off with current day stuff.

I've dug out hundreds of classic records and created crates on serato in chronological order, hoping to provide people with some vibes down at plastic people tonight whether they be educational or reminiscent!

Would be good to see some old heads out. I've dug out some serious classics and won't be touching on anything reasonably new til the last 90 mins so get down early!

I'm gonna be playing stuff I've played myself over the years so expect it to be a solid selection of grime and dubstep, not strictly dubstep. But bass driven all the way.

sounds like a wicked night in LDN... but why don't you just bring the records in the crates?

because i have thousands of records. I don't need to bring thousands of records to play a 4 hour set, i'm only bringing the stuff i need and don't have digitally!

pretty much the first 90 mins will be off vinyl, then it'll be a mix of vinyl / serato, then the last hour will pretty much all be on serato

aight... sounds awesome! for me personally, tracks that got their big break, played from vinyl should be re-experienced that way, so glad to hear you are doing it like that :W:

I'm all for a rolling thread on creating that playlist, so everyone can pitch in. This is if there's going to be a recording of course :)
