$106.50 to see Doctor P and Flux Pavillion
NO JOKE! this is for VIP in a 21+ area.....Or 43.50 for regular admission so I can mingle with all the rolled out 16+ ravers ODing on Sweet Shop. This is what it has become!! I'm good to reminisce on the good old days when I'd look forward to seeing a great Dubstep show that didn't cost an arm and a leg, and see a bunch of homies and not have an out of control crowd get in the way of me enjoying the music. AND I will always support the music if it's good, I'm ok to support by just buying tracks. But hey if the kids are enjoying it, whatever just sick of the self destruction...over it. Don't mean to hate but was wondering if this is what other people in the states are experiencing too :/

Dickhead promoters.
Those tickets are for kids who care about status.

chase n status
so many concerts are overpriced these days, tix to adele in seattle are close to $200 for GA... guess concerts aren't really for the lower classes anymore

$106.50 is what you would have to pay me to listen to their noise for 2 hours.

I'm that it hasn't become that bad in Denmark yet. It's sad. But the saddest part is that the place is probably going to be filled anyways because it is those guys.

ha! yep....rich kids only I guess. That has never been me. I've been supporting Dubstep in Denver since the beginning but this has to be the end...I've offered to help with the shows too but guess what? they don't need me! HAHAHA jokes on me for even trying or caring. Maybe I'll get out of this jaded state to support the smaller shows again, meh.fractal wrote:chase n status

I kind of know how you feel in a way. But then again i have only been an active part of the bass-culture in Denmark for a couple of years, not since the beginning.aporia1 wrote:ha! yep....rich kids only I guess. That has never been me. But! i have a theory that once all the mainstream shit is over, the underground will in the end have gotten both a bigger support-base, but also a creative boost. But we'll see about that... I am moving more and more over to the 130-138 stuff, and maybe that's the way forward too... Again, we'll see.
Re: $106.50 to see Doctor P and Flux Pavillion
that IS the way fwd imo, with some 140 classics thrown in for the heads that remember

That is absolutely fucking retarded.
I will LOL right in the face of any1 who pays that kind of money.
I remember having to pay only 7 euros entry for a small club and I had the night of my life.

Re: $106.50 to see Doctor P and Flux Pavillion
I'm only seeing those prices for these "Monsters-of-Rock" style brostep caravan tours. The snooty side of me is fine with this, as it keeps a lot of these acts touring together and the nights I want to see are getting less of these headliners now.
With that said, Surefire just toured a group of dope producers who were not charging anywhere near that kind of exorbitant bullshit price.
I dunno, I could spout a bunch of bitter, redundant shit that DSF is surely tired of. But, instead, I'll just say I think it's some smart promotors figuring out how to get the money out of Trust Fund parents

Few years ago i didn't had to pay to see play: Headhunter, Ramadanman, Gatekeeper, Ben Ufo, Phonetics, Mezzdub and Walrus at one night and drinks were cheap best night of my life.

It's about dropping a track at the wrong speed, and it sounding better than the real thing.

The best dubstep night in the South West is normally £4...

8-2 is probably cuz it's a 16+ thing rather than 18 or 21.
