DMZ last night

Post by relaks » Sun May 06, 2007 6:08 am

I'm shocked. Here I am, going off to work at 8 on a sunday (like everybody in Italy  ) hoping to read a few threads about how amazing DMZ was...

No-one's posted up yet? Shit, DMZ must've been good if no one's on the internet at 8 in the morning!''

how was dmzed?

Give 'em a chance, its only 1 o'clock, most of them are probably still stuck to their bedsheets.

Last night was big, Heartless Crew turned up during Hatchas set!
Great crowd and vibes and heavy tunes all night, only downside was when the system started to buckle during Distance's set

i was there. it was pretty darn busy tho not the usual large que of people at 10pm.....i caught appleblim, benga and distance and 1/2 hour of DMZ . . .some wicked tunes from all, nice to hear some 2 steppers from appleblim at the end of his set.....benga drawing out a lot of his own productions which was right up my street, his is on it it 4 me....loving the last few with glitchy cut up details. . . distance suffered from a few technicals. .sound seemed to sound muddy....knackered needle? he played a couple of serious seroius tunes mid way though his set...ida loved to stay for rest of dmz and hatch but i was knackered, third night out in a row, feet throbbin and a 1 1/2 hour drive home.....had to dash.....great vibe.....most exciting electronic music out there at the mo......pushing the envelope . . .good to speak to people outside from forum.....i was the guy promoting the outdoor charity gig with the carl craig t on.......i imagine all the hardcore will be up midafternoon.. . . . .

massive night sound was a bit wonky early but got sorted out quicktime.

got very into it

found myself two feet from the bins with a very cheesy grin going.

Benga lifted the dance with some big jump up
Distance was deep on the b line (limiter or something held back the set a bit for me but still powerful)
Loefah dropped some big and heavy dubz and seem to be bringing the sound back to working order, big respect technical crew for that.

Mala blessed the session with Burning Spear and made my night :D

Yeah agreed on more girls making the dance nice. Where we stood it was a really dancing party with proper brokking out from all corners.

Oh man it was just heavy can't get that across any more than that.

Brought a friend with us who just kept smiling all night

Big up DMZ

as is the way i got very drunk and lost touch with my rational self. sorry mala!

this also led to me leaving my phone with a nice chap called trevor who i'm meeting with later on in waterloo to try and convince to give it back to me for as small a charge as possible.

really heavy night though. the vibes were serious yet again. much love to everyone i chatted too / chatted to me.

obligatory plug warning!!!

see you next week at dubstep changed my life in new cross!

heavy sets from all involved, but hatcha just blew my mind last night. i was in a very special place for the duration of his set.

oh and then the icing on the cake MIGHTY MO! i was grinning ear to ear when he got on the mic, and the man seems to love his dubstep

large night, i'm so glad i managed to remain relatively sober for this one unlike the 2yr bday. shout to everyone i chatted and/or apologised to.
