Dubstep/EDM in/around Asheville, NC?

Whats good everybody! I recently got an internship this summer 45mins from Asheville and was wondering what the scene was like around there? I googled it and found stuff about Club 828 but it looks like they may have gone out of business or something because they had not events or anything on the calendar. Anyone know of any venues/clubs around the area that will be having shows this summer (or looking to book some )???

they get a lot of brostep / psytrance shows gallivanting as dubstep. as far as general EDM is concerned, there's a lot of it there... just don't expect much, if any, of it to be forward thinking or cutting edge. a lot of music in general, really... it's a college town. and yea club 828 is now closed.

thats one of the best things about living in the south. its usually behind much like the people

but seriously i would say Charlotte is probably going to be your best bet for actual "dubstep" dances but as said above dont be expecting any type of music that you will want to hear especially if youre into the more deep side of things.

so i see u posted this almost a year ago did u come across any events/venues that had any dubstep / edm cuz im goin out there real soon and wanna do it proper!

Im in the Mountains closer to knoxville will pm or post if anything jumps up this way. Its pretty bad. asheville got that loud skunk though... Ewww weeee
