Coki's talked about not releasing things digitally too because vinyl keeps it underground.

Would love to hear the motives behind this. I was a bit suspicious when I first saw it.

agreeing with all the above.

perhaps the reason could be that tracks like robotnik appeal to the digital djs?
no too happy tho, DMZ are THE vinyl label.

honestly i'm all for DMZ releasing digital, it would help them get more exposure here in the states, the main advantage rottun and circus etc have is they soley release digital and the whole "320" way is what all these teenagers are into (unfortunatley) they for the most part won't go out of their way to purchase vinyl. the US is in need of a DMZ cleansing seriously.

I completely agree. I remember Coki saying he didn't want to release his tunes on digital because digital releases would get you more exposed opposed to releasing on vinyl.
Not too happy about this either.

your love for your DMZ plates is ruined now huh? really?

good tunes are good tunes regardless of the format they are available on imo. i can understand they feel a little less special but ruined is a strong word.

There's really no need for this, Vinyl only was what this needed. Makes it all that little bit less special.

Why do people see it as such a bad thing that this is being released digitally? :?

Kinda with the majority here. I hope it's just Urban Ethics and not other DMZ releases. Mala and Coki paving in the way with their DMZ imprint and what makes it so legendary is its vinyl only status. Exactly like Swamp81.

It's a shame really...

It wasn't vinyl only until a few years ago. I have a legally bought mp3 of Anti-War Dub off of Bleep. DMZ is legendary for the tunes.
