Advice Wanted for Production

Post by ttoxique » Thu Jun 02, 2011 1:02 pm

Hello all ^^ Sorry for being lazy and not introducing myself elsewhere or setting up my sig or anything ^^

Anyways, I'm working on a brony dubstep mix, and running into some trouble. Would you mind listening to this sample and tell me the mistakes I'm making, or what I could do to improve it?

It doesn't sound all that great and I can't put my finger on why. I did rage and delete all my synth recordings that are there, but I can easily create something new or similar again between my Moog/Korg/Softsynths.

I did notice that the drums and sub are pretty weak, so I spent last night creating a new kit and synthesizing a new sub- can someone with decent monitors tell me if these are any better?

I still feel they're kindof weak, any ideas on processing I could do to improve it, or some better (hopefully free) samples I could work with?

Thank you!
