Ableton Collab anyone?

Post by JadMan » Mon Jun 06, 2011 11:45 am

Soundcloud
More songs on the soundcloud.

Been wanting to do a collab for a while now so thought I'd post my own topic. Ideally I'd like to send project files back and forth so it would help if you were using the same DAW as me (Ableton). I mainly use the effects that come with Ableton Suite 8, and use Operator for nearly everything as it's much more versatile as people make out, but I also use Massive every now and then and wouldn't mind downloading any VSTs that anyone wanted to collaborate with (as long as they're available for me to download).

Even though the songs on my soundcloud are generally quite "filthy", I'm open to any style or even genre of music, so let me know if you're interested.

  • What DAW do you use? - Ableton
  • What VSTs do you favour? (other than Massive)
  • What artists/labels would you say most clearly reflect your sound?
  • Would this be a remote collaboration, or would you prefer someone to work with IRL?

VSTs - Mostly just massive, but as I said I'm willing to use others.
Sound - Again I don't want to limit myself, could be as heavy as Torqux or as atmospheric as Burial. Love proper banging melodies as well, but that's just a preference.
I would prefer this to be a remote collaboration as I don't have enough time at the moment to be meeting with people, but if anyones from the London area, get in touch anyway and maybe something could happen in the summer.

Wub has the collab thread been created yet?

not yet - I'm fine tuning the questions/information that would be most appropriate before I put it up. Consider yourself one of the test subjects ;)
