honestly not that bothered? By and large I am pretty impressed with the bbfc these days. Obv I'm anti-censorship, but the bbfc say that they try and reflect the moral mood and opinions of the public, rather than enforcing a moral code and stuff. I think quite a lot of people probably would object to them giving this film any kind of rating, and not just knee-jerk conservatives.

I don't know, maybe i am being naive, but it's hard to care about it when it sounds like the film is pretty artless and horrible anyway.

^^from reading their statement the two things they seem to really object to are that the sequel takes place entirely from the villain's point of view, and that it has way more sexual and sexualised violence, which is the thing that the bbfc seem to hate above all else. There's a choice quote in the first paragraph where they say like, "despite being totally tasteless and shit, the first film was just a standard horror film"

I don't really agree with banning anything, tbh... but I can't see the artistic merit in any of this. Even something like Ichi The Killer, I can work out the point... this seems like it's just here to provoke disgust from anyone that watches it. It doesn't look frightening or particularly interesting, it just looks like an unpleasant way to spend 90 minutes.

I might watch it anyway, just so I can be sure... but I think I gave up on gore porn around 25 minutes into A Serbian Film. I love being scared (and own a ridiculous amount of horror movies), but I can't see the point in going to the cinema in order to see how long I can keep my nachos down.

The acting in the first one was just as bad as the acting in Mega Shark vs Giant Octopus, but MS vs GO was awesome so it redeemed itself.
