"Moderator" is the voice of the moderators. All decisions or messages sent by the "Moderator" are talked through and agreed upon in a majority consensus. This has been a friendly forum since it's beginning. We're here to make sure it stays that way. As this is the first time we've been forced to take action, we felt it best to inform the whole forum formally. In the future, we won't be making big announcements on such issues.
It's been brought to our attention that a certain forum member has been breaching the rules of the forum but more importantly, neglecting the main factors of what Dubstep music is ALL about which is peace, love, unity and strictly positive vibes.
If a new member to the Dubstep Forum sees pages and pages of people bickering in a childish inappropriate manner, its not a good first impression at all. More to the point it is an eyesore for the people who use this forum for music.
We're not trying to silence members of the forum who like to convey their heart felt opinions, just as long as they're not offensive and their comments remain constructive. The member in question has stepped over the line on various occasions and a pattern of behavior had developed. This individual was warned via PM but ignored the warning and continued to be a problem. So as a result of that we as a moderating team have decided to remove the individual from the forum.
We dont intend on making a habit of throwing people off the forum but in this situation we decided this was the action that needed to be taken.
If you have any questions or queries about this situation then please feel free to PM the Moderator.
Cheers,
Moderator

Ejected
Go on Moderators, turf those who don't/can't be civillised. A bit of beefy banter for jokes is cool... but yeah we don't wanna end up with another drum n bass arena... was cool for a while, now full of little chiefs who can't even argue properly or be reasoned with. Positive vibes only... safe...

very true.. oh the headaches I've had when modding our local dnb board.Descent wrote: are you able to ban IP's ? It's not hard to create a new account.
some jackass surfs the site under the guise of a proxy server and posts pictures of dead fetuses, attacks members on a personal level, all kinds of nasty shit.
hats off to the mods, it's tough job a lot of the time.

'libel issues'? you what? maybe i have missed all these threads and i'm sure you haven't taken this decision lightly but it's just a shame that people chose to use forums which are specifically intended for something, to controversially provoke and stirr. i just hope these twats don't start turning up at fwd and dmz.seckle wrote:Due to libel issues, and obvious privacy issues we can't say who was banned. It wasn't an easy decision to make, trust me.
you KNOW who it is...boomnoise wrote:who is it? nothing like a bit of name and shame. it's not obvious to me.
dm, esqiure, that's who!!! and i thought it was my mighty
avatar that finally shut him down!!!
i am happy to see him go. he really is beyond any sort of civility.
once long ago, he threatened to return under a different name, so...
we'll probably see him soon enough.

It's more privacy than libel, but with message boards & blogs getting taken to court more and more these days, you can't be too diplomatic.boomnoise wrote:'libel issues'? you what? maybe i have missed all these threads and i'm sure you haven't taken this decision lightly but it's just a shame that people chose to use forums which are specifically intended for something, to controversially provoke and stirr. i just hope these twats don't start turning up at fwd and dmz.seckle wrote:Due to libel issues, and obvious privacy issues we can't say who was banned.
