Travelling around the world during his childhood and teenage years, Jamie has been brought up seeing a multitude of different cultures and hearing a range of different styles of music. After settling down in the city of Perth (Australia) at the age of 10, he began studying the practical and theoretical side of music through numerous courses. Jamie was taught how to play a number of musical instruments during this period and performed in two orchestras until he was 17.
Jamie began making his own music when he turned 18, starting off with neurofunk influenced drum & bass which then evolved in to rave influenced tear out dubstep. Always exploring for new music that went against the grain, Jamie stumbled across the sounds of DBridge and ASC. Never before had he heard such amazing experimental drum & bass. This began his adventure in to the deep realm of the Autonomic sound.
“Cascade” was the first track Jamie wrote with an Autonomic influence. He had heard “Porcelaine” by ASC and was amazed by the feeling it gave him and wanted to create something with equal awe. To his surprise, ASC was impressed by the track and included it in his feature podcast for Resident Advisor in November, 2010. Another artist that Jamie held in very high regard was Loxy who also thought highly of “Cascade” and he included it in his live DJ sets around the world.
His debut release, “In Limbo” will take you on an emotional journey through his own musical thoughts and feelings. Whether you like deep brooding drum & bass or the ambient sounds of down-tempo electronica, this mini-LP will satisfy almost all of your musical cravings. Also featured on this release is an immensely epic remix by Boot of Requiem Audio, which is guaranteed to leave you in awe!
