Italy's Killeralien delivers a salvo of abstract and off-kilter halftime drum & bass in his latest offering, the Destiny Revealed EP, featuring five tracks of otherworldly funk and derangement. Title track Destiny Revealed features an eerie vibe over a percolating halftime drumline which switches up to a full stepper riddim after the breakdown. Magnet deepens the journey into unholy waters with a heavy layered halftime arrangement, progressing into lofty ethereal realms. A driving neuro midrange punctuates the momentum in Freesouls, which gives way to a rising crescendo of melodic atmospherics. Nautilus does justice to its namesake as an awkward, abstract creature of a track, capturing the essence of life in a dangerous and unpredictable undersea world. Finally, Geodrome's Yakuza-synth melody rides over a devastating flurry of carefully crafted percussion hits, evoking a high speed chase through a future-scape metropolis.
