alright so......some crazy shit went down this month and now i'm short on rent, and probably gonna have to sell my imac if it comes down to it. i'm looking to get a pc laptop for internet and producing, and i'm not looking to spend over 400 dollars. is there anything that comes to mind you guys would recommend? i'm not really looking to build my own (not sure i'd have enough $ to do so anyway) but if there's anything out there you guys think might be worth it, please let me know!

i would try selling yourself on the streets before selling ur imac dude. but are there really that many options for 400 bucks? i would just look at every store and find the highest spec'd laptop in the $400 range and go with it. try newegg, ebay, even walmart deals maybe? just start lookin. good luck tho man.

On a serious note, just get the fastest system you can afford. Preferably latest gen sandy bridge, probably an i3 system would suit your budget. 4gb ram minimum too, forget the graphics card as the cpu has integrated graphics, decent size hdd and obviously a nice audio interface to go with it!

K ill actually be helpful here. Compaq Presario CQ62. Its what i use. It comes with 3g of ram but its fully expandable up to 6g. Ive never had problems with CPU overloading or whateverthefuck. BEST PART: ITS 300 DOLLARS. (canadian i got it 270) AWW CHYEAH. fuckin cheap for a laptop that does everything.

their laptops are seriously cheap. cheaper than newegg, tigerdirect, walmart, or ebay.
