Can we call it something else? Like flippity floppity floop? I'm totally contradicting everything I've ever said about genres; what they're named just straight up doesn't matter. But 'core n bass' takes the fucking cake. I'm siding with the anti-genre folks on this one. What a shitty word.
Still, though. Mad potential for the genre:
It's basically a hardcore and hardstep crossover of sorts. 170-180 of distorted kicks and breaks. I know, I know, this type of stuff has been around for ages, but it's turning more and more into a cohesive style. Despite being pretty awesome, a lot of it is still "dnb beats with hardcore breakdowns", but there's a lot more focus on combining the rhythmic styles lately. Killing Sheep is releasing some of the "core n bass" I'd say... 'The Solution' was released on the label and the Tymon tune is gonna be the A-side of split with the DJ Producer on it as well.
Anyone keeping track of it?
