mp3 tags..

Post by Duppyuk » Thu May 17, 2007 9:11 pm

alrite, was checking out some mint tunes in the dub section yesterday...i use last fm and noticed the tunes weren't registering. if you tag your music properly by editing the file's properties it'll be registered on a site like lastfm.com. so then you can see how many people are playing your tunes...another way to get a bit of exposure too. :)

Yeah I second this one. I try to be pretty diligent about the tags in my own music. Not just down to last.fm either!

I spend a good time downloading dubs from this forum at on work's bandwidth but I can't listen to them there, so when I get home, sometimes I don't know who the track is made by anymore if you don't tag the mp3s. So really top idea I reckon to do this.

Indeed the biggest problem must be that some people dont know who made the tune and isnt able to get more of the good stuff nor hype or support it.....

On the other hand ...people should be aware of lacking tags and put some effort into keeping track of everything they get.... put some love and attention into it ....its free and at the same time worth a million bucks :)
