::: About Marty Party :::
MartyParty - Born and raised in South Africa, has been coined the Iggy Pop of electronic music. MartyParty produces "purple" music. This is electronic music with a rich melodic layering of beat, bassline and harmonics building up to an intense, full frequency, crescendo. The MartyParty live show is a high energy spectacle not to be missed - he calls it the "purple" opera. Intense bass, huge beats, emotional melodies and cutting edge sound design all come together in a wild ride - unique to every performance. MartyParty picked up Ableton Live in 2005 and began to learn the art of music production. He soon after realized his first digital album "Walkerville to the West Coast", named for the town he grew up in and a tribute to his path to the US. MartyParty got tired of how all electronic music followed the same formula so he set off on a mission to re-invent electronic music and cross-pollinate it with all the other music he loves. Marty started a movement back towards the power of the melody and instrumental composition. Song writing has always been Marty's passion instead of the typical beat and loop style production. The "purple" music is a hybrid of electronic music, dubstep and hip hop that together forms a totally new flavor of urban beat with the pretty, hypnotic elements of electronic music and the story telling of traditional song writing. Marty has been playing his live sets to crowds all over the US to rave reviews.
