Dub Project is Mansfield’s newest Urban music event with an aim to bring you the very best Local DJ’s across the four genres and combine this with some of the Dubstep scene’s finest established and up and coming talent.
For our launch party we welcome Circus Records very own SLUM DOGZ. The creators of ‘Slum and Bass’, ‘Slum Step’ and anything else Slum related, this trio of electronic music heavyweights come together to bring you some of the most uplifting rhythms you will ever hear to keep a dance floor jumping. In an age where moody is cool, Slum Dogz are shining the light for the good time music. The Dogz are leading the way in the animal kingdom and biting their way to the top of the food chain!
The production abilities of Doctor P, experience of DJ Swan-E and vocal talents of Krafty MC all combine to create the sound that is ‘Slum and Bass’, a diverse yet unique sound with elements of dance-style drum and bass, dubstep and jungle.
Reviving older tunes for a new generation the high-energy Slum and Bass rhythm was applied to remixes of ‘Neighbourhood’ by Zed Bias ft. MC Rumpus and Nicky Prince, originally released in 1999, and Mickey Finn and Aphrodite’s infamous ‘Bad Ass’, originally released in 1996.
With a number of releases under their collar, the live Slum Dogz showcase comes with a mix of high velocity beats and auditory delights, interweaved with news reports, skits, Slum and Bass specials and VIPs with the odd dubstep track thrown in for good measure, guaranteed to get the crowd begging for even more.
All of this combined with some of the best local DJ’s that Mansfield has to offer playing a variety of Urban genres across two rooms and some of the best drinks offers in Mansfield makes this one event that should not be missed
