Just Mixin' It Up

Post by APPrentICE_919 » Thu Jul 21, 2011 6:52 am

The other day a friend of mine moved back around. He had moved a quarter of the way across the states, and in his time being gone, he said he had started spinning on tables. I must confess that after playing DJ Hero, I was not too aware of the fact that you could really play GUITAR while someone else spun.
I have been a guitar player for going on six years now. I'm not the best since Hendrix (haha) but I am not bad either. Quite honestly, I like dubstep, but I like the old classic rock and shit that my dad use to listen to when we went driving on a hot summer's day the most. No other music will ever take my soul besides the good old classics. So I thought, I haven't heard of very many guys (or chicks) picking up their six-strings and strumming along to what other people are doing with dubstep. I love the guitar. I wouldn't sell it for my life, but I don't know of any groups that use a guy doing his thing making bass and drums, while another guy wails on his fretts to his comrads music.
If there are any tracks you'd like to post, obviously, feel free to do so. Otherwise, feedback is greatly appreciated as to how they think such an idea would go. For all the kiddies who still love being able to play guitar, but "mix" it with something else they like, its not too shabby of a thought...I thought.

Distance plays his guitar in almost all his productions.
