Is this bassline resampled?

Post by Classick » Sat Jul 23, 2011 6:06 am

I'm not much of a person to troll others work, but this has me wondering if this main bassline (right after the drop) is a skrillex bassline resampled, because of the "YEA" from Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites.

Not tryinng to troll, but do you guys think this is probably resampled?

Yeah, that's a blatant rip off of Skrillex. Terrible song either way though.

Yeah i didnt wanna say anything, but it seems like all he did was take a crappy lead synth for the intro, then take a pokemon sample and chucked it in there. then he cut a part of the bassline from scary monsters and just changed the notes. sad

Kids making shitty Pokémon remixes and trying to emulate a Skrillex bassline.

What else is new?

I'm still saying he resampled ^

And yeah many people have been resampling, I dont even find it fun, its not really even original... people like Atomic Dubstep are people who deserve credit.

I swear, the term "resample" is thrown around way too much in this forum.

Amen...

How are we supposed to know if he rendered it to audio before he effected it or if he just effected the midi signal? That makes no sense.

Yeah, resampling is bouncing audio and changing it somehow. Sampling is just taking stuff.

Fixed. That's all it is. It's not dubstep pixie dust as many posts would lead you to believe.

Yeah I know. People talk like it's an actual act, like adding a distortion or something. "Teach me how to resample so I can be like Datsik or Skrillex.!"...

Resampling alone doesn't do shit, it's what you do after you resample that does it.

You have 800 posts because all you do is post on this forum instead of producing tracks?
