Outpact, My Hyde (Electronic, chilled, bass) Free Download

Post by Mr Hyde » Mon Jul 25, 2011 10:52 am

New chilled out electronic one. Free download for the time being.

Soundcloud

(ideally needs the sub turned up at home- the conversions to mp3, soundcloud upload and playback seem to loose sub quality if its turned louder in the upload recording)

All comments appreciated!

I second that!

Yeah man nice one, got me vibing off this one.
I love that intro, it sets the track up perfectly.
Great melody, and the drums are playing a great lil shuffle.

This is right up my alley. It's fucking nice. The only I'd suggest is throw in a tiny little variation in the bassline - a little fill at the end here and there, or change the timing of a note every so often.

Nice one man, cheers. Yeah had done just that when I was making it but cut it down, 'less is more' type of thing, in the end decided on the more more minimal/repetitive style for a more hypnotic kinda vibe (although that can also get boring), I'll have another look back and see if I can add some variation while keeping the same vibe.

I know where you're coming from. There's definitely enough going on with the percussion to keep it interesting anyway. I just find myself focusing a lot on the bassline, and after hearing a few repetitions my short attention span is just screaming for even a slight variation. I can definitely understand the temptation not to change the timing of the notes because it could throw off the groove. If you want to keep it minimal, maybe something like just cutting the last note a bit short every 16 bars, or something like that, would be enough.

Cheers man, yeah I get what you mean...been mucking about with it and can't seem to do it without it throwing off the groove!
