Re: Tune ID? (Unreleased Burial?)
The vocal is Massive Attack - Paradise Circus at 0:34, maybe a Burial remix?

Ah, so it was the vocalist form Mazzy Star then!
Weren't Massive Attack saying when that album came out that they'd asked Burial to do a remix of that album a la Protection/No Protection? Could it be something off that?

Burial is pain.
I wish K9 stop teasing us, either keep them to yourself on your HD or release the sh_t.
Stop playing them out & toying with your fans.

Yeah there were definitely rumours of a Burial remix album coming out, no idea what came from it. Breakage remix has a totally different sound to it, much more trancey.gorillabearbear wrote:Ah, so it was the vocalist form Mazzy Star then!

Re: Tune ID? (Unreleased Burial?)
I saw in an interview with Kryptic Minds and Loefah Loefah saying that it never got off the ground, because Burial was having an unproductive year, which Kode9 was also saying around that time. So I guess maybe there's one or two odds and ends from it.
Re: Tune ID? (Unreleased Burial?)
Agreed 100%. He knows Burial has a massive following (I read in a Blackdown's interview with KM that Burial is the biggest selling dubstep artist too?) and can just fuck us around. Bloodstream has that set recorded I'm sure but K9 obv didn't give him permission to upload it.ketamine wrote:Burial is pain.

I think that is another case of Burial remixing something but refusing to put it out. K9 probably played it to tease everyone. It's weird though, because I can't see many people watching this video, like it's not going to get massive exposure, if you get mevolcanogeorge wrote:Yeah there were definitely rumours of a Burial remix album coming out, no idea what came from it. To further show my geekiness with Burial, the track @ 3:16 of OP's vid is in better quality here

Re: Tune ID? (Unreleased Burial?)
What Mr9 fails to realize is he is now the equivalent of a drug dealer who’s gotten people addicted, then randomly turns up at parties SHOWING OFF BAGS OF THE STUFF but refusing to sell any more…
How long will that last before things turn ugly.

do you really think burial is in charge of what comes out and what doesn't? that would be amazing control to have as an artist!!say_whut wrote:Agreed 100%. Re: Tune ID? (Unreleased Burial?)
It probably is a burial remix. He was supposed to be working on a remix album for Massive attack. At least that's what it said on his wikipedia
Re: Tune ID? (Unreleased Burial?)
Let's be real though, Burial is the jewel in Hyperdubs crown. Plus, surely for a remix to be allowed out, it needs the remixers permission too, right? I've read in multiple interviews (by Blackdown, again) that Burial did claim to have a bad year in 2009, so for all we know all this "new" material could have been floating around in K9's hard drive purely because Burial doesn't feel happy with them.
I don't know, I'm not him.
