Guido's Strings

Post by workistorture » Mon Aug 01, 2011 6:41 pm

I've been really intrigued by Guido's strings lately and was wondering if anyone had any leads as to what VST he used to make them? For the most part, I know they're synthesized strings but I really like how he's mixed them in his music.

He uses Reason, and they're most likely synthesized (I don't know for sure though). Read an interview where he explained that the song "mad sax" didn't use any horn samples, just patches he made with synthesizers. There's so many string samples around though-- just search around and do some experimenting. Try subtle reverb and delay.
