Shortly after the premiere of Breakshake Remix Compilation, Number 2 is here on Korsett - a young label from the series of the Lucerne Collective organizer of the same name.
Demegy presents “If It’s You”, a subtle deep electronica track, linking artful dub style with intricate rhythms and melancholy. Despite its originality the sound sparkles with many references – above all, evoking memories of earlier Apparat-Productions.
Labelmate Partikel processes the original material in a remix for an equally deep, minimal dub version enriched with field recordings and vocal samples. This track doesn't completely eschew the dance floor, but by design is decidedly transcendent of Prime-Time.
Mature, "intelligent dance music“, which, without seeming hyper-intellectual, deeply massages the head and heart.
