WOBBLE BASS WITH REASON?

Post by fifi » Tue May 29, 2007 2:38 pm

Hey Y'all

Having some problems getting my bass to sound right. Can't really get that proper mixture of wobble without to much distortion. Does anyone have any tips for a reason user trying to get that wobble dubstep bass sound, thanks?

You might want to ask this in the Production forum or just search for "wobble bass" in that forum. It's a topic that has been discussed quite a bit there.

If it sounds too distorted then you're probably using the wrong type of distortion and/or too much of it. Use distortion sparingly.

You can beef up 'wobble' (I hate that term. haha.) by just EQing the high end of it.

I assume you're splitting your sub and synth into separate channels, if so, add a little tape distortion onto your wobble synth and boost the high end of it with a standard eq in reason... repeat this to taste. :?
