better bass's please help

Post by LewisRoberts » Wed Aug 17, 2011 12:46 am

sorry to sound like a noob but ive been wondering this for a long time, how do i get basses that are more mid than high. for example the kind of bass's i mean are like requake's wobbz rather than sluugos wobbz if you get me. or another example for what i mean is a bass with more mid ranged frequencies then high ranged ones. how i like to explain it is like, to have a more rounder bass then a gritty distorted to fuuk bass. sorry if i dont seem to be very understandable but i find it very hard to explain what i mean.

this thread is a total fail lol. i mean if you dont know how to make a sound more mid range than you shouldn't even be thinking about wobz. i mean its common sense. play with the octaves/semi tones, play with the freq cut off, add some distortion, or like jr posted, boost the mids (but generally you dont want to boost shit a ton and try and create frequencies that are not there).

but at your stage id probably just keep reading and reading about production, as well as the manual for your daw/synths, as well as watching youtube videos. it doesnt come easy but if you give it time practice and research, you will notice progress, slowly but surely. so just hang in there and keep learning.
