hey bukz
its a nice choon mate. I will say that you could vary the drums alot more and it needs some bottom end. Try playing with the Subtractor using a sine wav. EQ out anything over 150hz and Compress to taste.
Also it sounds like u are using the Malstrom for tour lead, the sound you are using is a bit generic sounding. Build yer own patches to develop a unique sound.
A great effore for somebody who has only been using Reason for a week!
Keep it up

Like w/s said, good effort for only having been using Reason for a week...what other software have you used prior to this, if at all? Is it Reason 2 or 3?
My advice is, try and make the sounds your own: sample stuff - anything at first - then get more specific. What sounds interest you?
Reason can be a good platform to build tracks with provided you steer clear of any of the default sounds/samples - or if you do use them, mash them up and make them yours. (Anyone who's pissed about with reason will be able to identify where the sounds are from which spoils the experience. Be like a ninja...)
Load up wavs into the NN19/NNXT and build your own instruments; find lots of 'bleepy' and 'swooshy' samples and experiment with delays. See what you can do with the space...and the timing...
Main problem with Reason 2 and 2.5, but not 3, is limited eq's, and inability to use plugins. Learn what you have at your disposal and generally fuck about until @boom% you have a choon...
As for the tune, it needs a more definite groove, something which hooks you in, and it definitely needs low end. But yeah, good effort.
[If you're looking for fwabs, use maelstrom and send one of your oscillators to an lfo (above 'osc1'), set the rate of wobble (blue knob) and adjust the other parameters (yellow knobs to the right) relative to one another. Fuck with the envelope on the oscillator (A,S,D,R), and remember that all parameters are interconnected and tweaking some things relative to others sounds good, whilst others sound shit...use your ears to discern the difference.]
Above all, keep at it!

Thanks
Im using version 2.5.. I've never really used any other programs to make music.. I installed cubase last night but have no idea where to start with it.. It looks complicated as fook.. be one for the weekend me thinks.
The malestorm advice is spot on.. Ive been tryin to make the wobbles in the bit where you draw it on the keyboard lol. I read in the production post about using an lfo but never been able to find it.. sound as for that.. thats a much clearer explanation.
Agree about the beat aswel, sounds bland. Ill have a play and make a few more loops.. The bass seems to have gone alot quieter aswel after it was changed to .mp3 format.. Im guessing its the levels?
Can anyone reccomend any good recording software to take clips out of dvd's and such? S'pose cubase would proberly be best?
Thanks again, didn't expect the feedback to be anywhere near as good or helpful.
Peace
Bukz.
