midi,drivers whatever problem

there probably was topic like that but i could find one anywhere thatd explain me it, so :
im asking if someone can quickly explain me drivers and midi connection.
ive got just computer and usb midi keyboard. its roland sh 201 if it matters(not mine). ive installed drivers, connected it in my daw (fl) as input. i use asio4all. everything works, but i just dont understand how to switch the sh 201 between midi and synth (it makes sweet sounds:). yesterday i had my headphones plugged to it and i was listening to pc sounds through the synth, today i could hear only the synth sounds from the keyboard, and the headphones are plugged in pc.

alright bassically i need some link to site where drivers are explained or some to just tell me how to use this keyboard properly?

even this text doesnt make sense... anyone knows a site where its explained or something?

Connect the 1/4in outputs on the synth to your audio interface.

its usb keyboard, i think all i need is usb cable? (if its the only thing that i want to connect to pc)

Nope. The USB is for MIDI and possibly transferring patches.

so, to use it as a midi keyboard i just need the usb cable, but to use it as a synth in pc i need to connect it via those 1/4s? is that what your saying? i mean it works as a midi keyboard only with the usb cable... i probably sound really stupid, but thats why im asking

Yeah the USB sends MIDI to and from the synth but the actual sound the synth makes goes through the 1/4in outputs.
