I am busy configuring my Ableton live preferences on my laptop and I have 3 different Asio driver options. I am looking for the one that will give me the best audio quality and the lowest possibility of latency. I am using my midi controller a lot during my live performance and therefore I dont know if choosing the highest or best quality driver will cause my system to slow down and risk crashing possibility? Bare in mind at the moment I plug straight out the headphone jack in my laptop to the mixer until I have gathered enough cash for an external usb sound hub
Which one and why?
Asio4all v2
Asio Multimedia Driver
Asio Direct X Full Duplex Driver
or should i use MME/Direct X Driver type
Thanks peeps

does your controller not have a native asio driver?

Thanks man.
I felt like it was quite a stupid question but i just needed to doublecheck. Had it on Asio4all V2
M audio trigger finger. I guess not.. its not the best in controllers but I use it to its fullest potential.
Can anyone explain the differences between these drivers?

Your trigger finger is a controller so it won`t have an asio driver.
The asio driver is for the soundcard and it allows the soundcard to access your hardware directly which decreases the latency of the midi device.
The difference between the 2 I don`t know.
I just know from experience which is the best option.
