Dark 4x4 garage
Dark 4x4 garage
How much of that is out there? Anyone recommend me some?
Kinda like dis...
I'm totally hooked on the tune.
Looks like I'm always searching for dark tunes in a genre not normally known for dark music, heh.

Re: Dark 4x4 garage
i'd fancy hearing this on a technorave... just as a little changeup. a whole night of this stuff wouldn't be my cup of tea though

Well, I guess the obvious choices would be older productions from El-B, Geeneus, Horsepower Productions and the like. But other than that I've no idea, not that big into garage.

Re: Dark 4x4 garage
narrows
there's a few versions of this and can't listen at work but hopefully this is the right one
if you're after vinyl then one of my favourite tunes is a warpy 4x4 thing by wesley jay & shimano called jazz music (fuck knows why as there's nothing remotely jazzy about it), but can't find audio anywhere
will have a think about some more

Oh wow Badger those are pretty much exactly what I'm looking for. Really catch the dark vibe. Are those exceptional for the artists or are they known for dark ass shit?
Talkin' 'bout dark 4x4, tbh, not rly 2-step.ultraspatial wrote:Well, I guess the obvious choices would be older productions from El-B, Geeneus, Horsepower Productions and the like. But other than that I've no idea, not that big into garage.

good shout on got myself together pada
narrows does tunes that all sound similar to that but that's his best and most famous and a bit of a grime anthem. a lot of his stuff is quite breakbeat/junglish too so reckon you'd like those
bogeyman's garage/dubstep is great. magic carpet is probably my favourite of his but couldn't find it on youtube
scandalous unlimited did some similar tunes but also makes pretty shitty dubstep these days
and that's the only tune by dj pooch that i know tbh. not sure what else he's done
yeah they all do similar stuff mostlyGenevieve wrote:Oh wow Badger those are pretty much exactly what I'm looking for. Really catch the dark vibe. Are those exceptional for the artists or are they known for dark ass shit?

Not a bad tune here. Only knew Lickle Rolla and the Jameson tracks from my breakbeat days, used to play a desi version of Urban Hero quite a lot.
