***L.a Rose - Hustlin' Has No Borders***

Post by larose » Tue Sep 27, 2011 5:19 pm

If you have ever experienced Calgary's highly-acclaimed bass culture, you have probably had some type of interaction with this local bass head. No matter what side of the stage he is on, you would probably see him there with a huge smile on his face at all times.

In 2005 Dave Larose first stepped into the electronic underground scene. First attending small underground raves all over the city and meeting the awesome people within. He quickly realized that he wanted to broaden his electronic experience and find a unique sound that was not directly in front of him.

2008 was the year that L.a Rose was first introduced to the sound of dubstep and all other types of heavy bass driven music. Attending his first Shambhala that year, he quickly realized that he found his calling. Shortly after that inspirational week, L.a Rose started to make appearances in the Calgary dubstep scene. After only a short while of having his turntables he linked up with the 2 major forces running the show in calgary, The Supreme Hustle. After his debut show, he started to get more involved in the scene. This is where L.a Rose first started to make his mark on Calgary's dance floors. Running a weekly night at Sals on 17th only at the young age of 17, he started to develop and refine his sounds as a DJ.

Now at the young age of 18, L.a rose is just starting out on his career. After recently making such a mark on the Calgary scene, he is looking to expand his horizons and share his musical taste & techniques to people all over the country. No matter where or when you see him, he will make sure that every body on the dancefloor is moving just as much as his.

In recent times, Dave L.a Rose found himself playing and opening for many notable DJ's and producers from around the world. Playing beside heavy bass hitters such as Flux Pavillion, Mimosa, Nero, Cookie Monsta, Roksonix & Reso, just to name a few, was where L.a Rose started to get a name for himself. In the large diverse world of dubstep, he found his true passion in the super hard hitting, fast pace side of dubstep, dnb and drumstep. With his main influences being ones' such as Calgary's own Mark instinct, and international known producers such as Document One, Dodge & Fuski, Cyberoptix & Phear Phace it is quite obvious that there will be total dance floor destruction when he is behind the decks.
