OUTLOOK 2012 CREW

Post by vSquared » Wed Oct 05, 2011 6:53 pm

Might as well start this early. Tickets are now available to purchase [http://www.outlookfestival.com/] - who's hyped already?

It's going to be my first time at Outlook so I'm interested to know what are your travel arrangements, tips for the festival, etc?

Easy all :)

Yeah same, really need tips from some of the Outlook pro's ;) Thinking of flying to Amsterdam from Bristol and then somehow getting to Croatia from Amsterdam after a few days.

Thinking of making the exact same trip man, maybe in reverse though. Couldn't really think of a better way to come down from all the festival madness with a couple of day's smoking sesh in the Dam :h:

Yeah - you'll get a ticket but at the full price.

Definitely going down hotel route and our party is very well organised - already planning on booking flights and everything. I think we're going to Amsterdam on the Monday, flying to Venice on the Wednesday and then catching a bus to Pula as someone above has said but we're still looking into other ways of getting there.

Anyone else from the UK travelled there before? What was your route (we're from Cardiff)?

Damn that's quite the journey. I made the trip this year from Texas. Three hour flight to Atlanta followed by an 8 hour flight to Italy. Two hours of sitting waiting for the coach as it would take us on another 4 hour drive into Croatia. It was long, but completely manageable. Best advice I can give is to get your tickets then book your flights. I arrived two days early so I could have a free day to get my body clock back in regular motion. After you get your flight tickets then book accommodation and airport transfers/etc.

2012 will be my 5th time :D

Best bet from the UK is to fly to Pula itself if you can find decent flights. Flying to Trieste is the next best option i'd say, fairly quick transfer down to Pula from the centre of Trieste (which is 45 mins from the Airport).

Flew to Venice last year and it was a long old coach journey up to the festival (about 6 hours or so) and a bit of a hassle getting from Airport to transfer.

We didnt do the dam on the way. We flew Bristol - Berlin stayed for 5 days then flew onto Pula. Went to the festy. then when it finished we went to Trieste for a few days then flew home.

I wouldnt recomend Trieste. Its nice dont get me wrong, but doesnt give you anything you couldnt find anywhere else. Couldnt even find a traditional pizzaria. Im gonna go to Venice on the way back this time, deffo gonna start in Berlin again though. ABSOLUTE MUST!!

Whatever you do remember to bring cash, a bandana and some good shoes. Otherwise you're fucked.
