" 'Sketches In Colour' is a lot of things. I wanted every track to be unique and I wanted to write something that nobody else was going to write. It's my own attempt at pushing my production, my sound design and my writing skills to their limit. In a lot of ways one of the running themes in it is about becoming something better and so I guess it's apt that in writing it I was pushed like that. It's my attempt to be less like a musician and more like an artist. I don't want to make music, I never really did. I want to make art - with sound. That's what this release is to me. I suppose, most importantly, this release is a sort of sonic recreation of a collection of moments in my life from the past year. There are a lot of important moments and people in these tracks and I hope that those people might hear themselves in this release and also hear my gratitude for inspiring the sounds that describe those moments we shared."
