Re: Second Song do you like it?
oh yeah and when i rendered the file, one certain synth sounded EXTREMELY high pitched ill fix that soon
Re: Second Song do you like it?
It's...ok. There aren't any low bass tones throughout the song, which is what dubstep is about. I also didn't feel any drop at the beginning; it was more of a "meh". The drums and percs are a little weak, as are the wobbles. The synth you have playing between the wobbles is a little cheesy. I also think you sidechained the track a little too much. Everything other than that is good. You did sequence the song nicely.
It's good, but there's a LOT more that can be done to make it sound like a #1 Beatport track. Keep at it!

I still don't hear any sub bass in there x) you're right, there's bass for sure, but none of those car-rumbling sub sounds.DJ Synthesia wrote:how about this one here it has alot more bass but its a little simple

Re: Second Song do you like it?
awwww sadness, well ill be busy making more in the meantime
Re: Second Song do you like it?
I make my sub bass in a program called Sylenth1. It's quite simple. Start off with an init patch, change the waveform to a sine, and drop the octave to -3. Boom. Done.
Re: Second Song do you like it?
Great man! youre on a great start here. and yea i dont hear any sub at all;)
not sure what you work in but ive found that my when my 1st osc would have a triangle wave and my 2nd osc have a sine wave in the same octave and my 3rd osc (you may need to use multiple synths but its not like its illegal to use multiple synths for one unison sound haha) set to a sine wave dropped an octave lower than the other osc is very effective and adds a nice harshness to the sub and is perfect for a that car shaking sub!
but just always remember that dubstep is bass music and if your looking to produce club shaking music then a good sub bass is key for todays standards.
keep on working on your style man im really feeling it! and make a soundcloud so i can follow you;)
