M83

His new album - Hurry Up, We're Dreaming - is one of the best I've heard this year. I can't get enough at the moment.

Personally I think it's his strongest work yet...

Great record. Love the Steve MCQueen track.

They are touring right now... and I bought tickets months ago for the stop in my city. The show (this week) has been expanded to an early set and a late set by popular demand, and both shows have sold out. Glad i bought my tickets early. Its going to be awesome! :)

The first single with that squeaky synth is a little grating, but the rest of the album is lush as usual

:U: indeed that is hes greatest work so far

he also made this tune for the snowboard movie the art of flight to bad that track wasn't a bonus on the CD
It's about dropping a track at the wrong speed, and it sounding better than the real thing.

M83 has always been hit and miss for me. Some nice tunes but also some with really naff sounding synth. Will check out this new one

I used to love M83. Dead Cities and the one after it were spot on. Now its all rubbish. When I think of everything about the 80s I hate, and I don't mean dislike I mean fully, vehemently hate, and I picture in my head what that would be like condensed into a short, 4 minute segment, I hear any given track on the latest M83 album play... in my head... It makes me sad.
