Hey,
Just recently bought a new laptop along with FL Studio 10 demo, since everybody is going on and on about it, but I'm experiencing multiple problems.
For one thing, I live with my girlfriend, so I have to use my headphones pretty much all the time. But for some reason when I'm previewing samples on my desktop the samples play through the Laptop speakers. I also cannot figure out how to get the browser in FL to go to my sample library. I've been using Ableton Live for about a year now, so I'm really used to my samples being just to the left of the screen.
Another random question, I wasn't able to find a video or other tutorial explaining how to link a filter envelope to a synth. I don't know if 3xosc or Sytrus have filter envelope capabilities, but I haven't had enough time to just muck about in FL and figure it out, cause of work and school and shit. Does the Fruity Love Philter have an ADSR envelope I can link to the filter cutoff?
Any help is much appreciated, keep it easy.

Lets get to the problems 3xosc: 3Xosc has a built in adsr, just go to the INS tab and you will find all the envelopes there. Styrus also has a built in envelope it's right there in every osc (op1, op2, op3, etc) the envelopes are all labeled through tabs. If you wish to automate filters stick a Fruity filter or fruity free filter on the bus which your synth is going through, to assign an envelope to that in your step sequencer insert a Fruity Envelope Controller, right click the cutoff or ANY knob you wish to automate and click Link to Controller . Under the "Internal Controller" box click and assign it to envelope 1-4 w/e you want. You can also create an automation clip by right clicking any parameter and clicking "Create Automation clip".
Now your sample problem. Go to options, File settings and you will have a little dialogue box with a number of empty spaces and folders beside them. Click one of them to browse, select the location of your samples and you are good to go (you might need to close down and start up again for it to take effect).
Hope this solves your problem
